About Barbara

Barbara Hause

Barbara Hause, MBA, CFRC has been a Certified Financial Recovery Counselor since 2002. She trained with Karen McCall who is the director and founder of the Financial Recovery Institute located in San Rafael, California.

Barbara’s work experience includes 20+ years in banking and marketing. In both careers Barbara worked directly with individuals and couples who were borrowing money and/or investing their own money to build businesses. Barbara saw that people’s relationship with money played an important role in the success or failure of their businesses as well as in their personal lives.

Barbara knows there is a definite need for financial counseling to help people build a positive and productive relationship with money. With a supportive, non-judgmental communication style, Barbara finds counseling people on money matters to be a natural fit with her business and financial background. As she has witnessed her clients’ successes, she has become more passionate about working with people to resolve their issues with money.

When asked, what she enjoys the most about financial counseling, Barbara says, "It is great to have the opportunity to work with people who want to personally grow and change. It is very rewarding to watch my clients progress and feel secure in their financial life."

Barbara and her husband have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 22 years. In her free time Barbara enjoys biking, hiking, swimming and volunteering for the Tri Valley Animal Rescue in the foster program for dogs. Barbara is a past president and currently, a board member for the Alamo Merchant and Professional Association. Barbara earned a Competent Toastmaster Designation and has participated at Speaking Circles International in San Anselmo for several years.
